Strasbourg, located in northeastern France, is a city rich in history and culture, blending French and German influences. Here are some of my favorites:
Strasbourg Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg) – One of the most stunning examples of Gothic architecture, this cathedral is famous for its intricate façade and astronomical clock. Visitors can climb the tower for a breathtaking view of the city.

La Petite France – This picturesque district is known for its charming medieval half-timbered houses, cobbled streets, and canals. It’s a beautiful area for strolling and soaking in the atmosphere.

European Parliament – Strasbourg is home to one of the main institutions of the European Union. The European Parliament building offers a modern contrast to the city’s medieval architecture. Visitors can explore its visitor center or take part in guided tours.

The mix of French and German culture in Strasbourg creates a unique atmosphere. You can hear a blend of French and Alsatian accents, and the food reflects this cultural fusion. Sample tarte flambée (a type of Alsatian pizza) or choucroute(sauerkraut with sausages) in one of the cozy restaurants along the way.

Strasbourg’s blend of medieval charm, modern institutions, and cultural significance make it a unique destination.
